Biography

Erin "Amberwind" Jay is an artist living and working in southern California. She works in most media, currently concentrating on Fractal artwork, Photography, and Photomanipulation. She has two Associates degrees, in Art and Business Administration, both of which were earned with highest honors. She is currently continuing her education, studying digital art techniques.

  • Recipient of the Dumont Foundation Scholarship for emerging artists.
  • First Place at The National Date Festival 2007 Fine Arts competition, for the piece "Tik-Tok".
  • Second Place at The National Date Festival 2007 Fine Arts competition, for the piece "Quiddity".

  • Completed "Fun with Apophysis" course with certificate through Visual Arts Academy, under instructor Maggie Jackson.
  • Graduated College of the Desert, 2004, AA in Art (General), AA in Business Administration. 3.8 overall GPA, 4.0 GPA in Art.
  • Completed "Working with Ultrafractal" and "Ultrafractal Masking Techniques" courses with certificates through Visual Arts Academy, under instructor Janet Parke.
